Whether you’re brand new or 10 years in, sometimes it’s worth going back to basics. Why? Because a well-prepped room is the difference between a 10/10 client experience and a rushed appointment that leaves everyone a little… sticky.
Here’s your room setup checklist — the practical, the professional, and the little touches that elevate your service from “nice” to “luxury.”
🔒 1. The Essentials: Create a Safe, Comfortable Space
- Lock on the door – Client comfort and privacy come first
- Temperature control – No one wants to tan while shivering or sweating
- Chair – For post-tan dressing, chats, or a quick rest
- Mirror – So your client can admire their glow before they go
🛠️ 2. Tools of the Trade: Your Spray Tan Trolley Should Include
- Primer
- Barrier cream
- Blending brush
- Velvet mitt (for patting down overspray)
- Paper pants, cap & sticky feet
- Rubber gloves
- Clean towels & couch roll
- Enough tanning solution in every shade (you will get the “can I go darker?” client at 8pm)
